Tag your pup in. Others will then comment with prompts for your pup in an AU situation (ie: In an AU where Dale was born a woman, where the Doctor never came to Earth, where Susan and Sansa are hot lesbian lovers, where Dean and Sam grew up normally.) In a twist to our normal drabble meme, you then write a drabble, ficlet or create art ("drawble") based on that prompt, in or out of the TR universe.

Please don't tag in unless you have the time and inclination to respond to prompts! By the same token, please don't take it personally if someone doesn't get to your prompt. Inspiration can be a fickle thing!

I have thoroughly enjoyed all of Sam's first threads, but there are three pups that have just slain me and I have to give special kudos for.

First, Jack O'Neill. Sam's debut thread couldn't be more satisfying for me, thanks to this pup. From his first words: "You always greet a superior officer like that, Major, or am I just special?", he had me LOLing, and then he had me aw-ing, in Jack's unique way.

Then there's Vala Mal Doran. Vala has such a distinctive voice, and Shan just rocks it. Especially when Sam asked about William's father. I had a feeling I knew what she was really asking, though that was ridiculous. William looked nothing like Mitchell. *sporfle*! God, so much love for Vala.

Finally, Rodney McKay. I love Sam and Rodney's dynamic in canon and RhiB really brings it here. "I have several theories, actually," said Rodney. "Most of them revolve around the basis that this place exists solely to torment me. But I've discounted most of those; I'm no narcissist."

And serious thanks to all the SG muns for giving Sam a warm welcome, both IG and OOC. I really, really appreciate it. ♥

Pups of the Future

Tag in with pups you're at any stage of considering apping, with either just the pup's name or with a short pseudo-EP, whichever works best for you. The meme allows you to test the waters with a new character and get a first taste of what they'll be like to play. Pups (already in play or pending) can tag each other, ask questions, have conversations, and interact in any way as long as it's IC.

The 27th of each month now comes with a "What I Loved This Month" post, in which there will be free for all of kudos, thread pimpage, and just generally celebrating the things that you enjoyed. (Of course everyone is still encouraged to do these things whenever you would like, as they come up, but it's always nice to have a designated place for it.) These posts are intended to serve as a place to appreciate our fellow players and the stories we tell together, and if it turns into a sort of highlight reel to keep everybody caught up with what's going on with everybody else in-game, then that is just a bonus. :D [/review]

This is your official "What I Loved This Month" post. What did you love reading, what did you love playing, what keeps you coming back for more?

The biggest Island event of the year will be upon us in less than a week: New Year's Eve. Traditionally, this event sees the Compound transformed into the sort of massive party that you only dream of, complete with endless food and drink of any kind, music, revelry, and of course the countdown and resulting kisses.

Imagine that cell phones work on the island and your pup has brought their trusty Blackberry or Motorola to the party. What sort of dubious text messages might they send? Login to the appropriate journal and comment with them!
